Responsible for all aspects of financial control and reporting, you will actively contribute towards the organisation’s financial planning and growth and will have the opportunity to progress to become Finance Director as the business and role continue to develop. Reporting directly to the Owners, you will manage the accounting team and be responsible for effective management and control of the finance function, as well as strategic finance, reporting and projects.
The role will involve but not be limited to:
Management of capital and revenue budgets; implementing and managing departmental budgets, cost centre analysis and KPIs. Deliver accurate and timely management accounts, with associated analysis and MI reporting. Margin analysis, project accounting and monitoring spend. Implementation of controls, processes and procedures. Lead strategic projects to assist with business growth. Training, mentoring and day to day management of the finance team.
Partnering closely with the wider business to support with financial information, analysis and guidance with all aspects of finance. Preparation of annual accounts, Year End returns and liaison with external auditors. Ensure adherence with all statutory and regulatory requirements, liaison with HMRC and other external bodies. Manage relationships with insurers, legal providers, pensions etc. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a professional, friendly and collaborative team;
and for someone who is keen to be able to have a genuine impact on the growth and future of the business. Skills Required ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Proven experience operating as a Financial Controller or similar role.
Experience with in Construction or Engineering sectors. In-depth knowledge of cash flow management and project accounting Hands-on experience with budgeting and forecasting models.
