Senior IT Field Engineer

Overview

My client is a well established IT solutions organisation based in Watford, Herts, who are seeking an experienced Field Engineer to go to client sites to install, configure and maintain end user workstation hardware, software and peripheral devices on site. The role also involves managing a team of Field Engineers. Covering London and the Home Counties. Candidates must have a full clean driving licence and at least 5 years experience as an IT Field Engineer in a customer facing type of role.

• Install, configure and maintain end user workstation hardware, software and peripheral devices on client sites.
• Manage a team of Field Engineers.
• Provide on-site and remote support across London and the Home Counties as required.
• When not at customer sites, be in the office providing 2nd Line Support to customers over the phone.

• Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems (SBS/2012/2016/2019 Server/7/8/10).
• Core Microsoft infrastructure technologies and solutions (Exchange, IIS, AD, RDS).
• Hyper-V, Xen Center, VMware.
• Backup technologies including Veeam, Cloud Connect, Acronis, Backup Exec.
• Server hardware maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Full clean driving licence.
• At least 5 years of experience as an IT Field Engineer in a customer facing role.

This role is a dual role. When not out at customers' sites you will be in the office providing 2nd Line Support to customers over the phone.
