Educate Staffing is currently seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a well-regarded school in Watford. This is an immediate start position for a motivated individual who is keen to support pupils and contribute positively to a classroom setting.
This role would suit someone who is committed, adaptable, and confident in supporting children with a range of learning needs across the school day.
About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help deliver effective learning and ensure pupils feel supported, engaged, and safe at school.
- Providing classroom support to teachers during lessons
- Working one-to-one or with small groups to reinforce learning
- Assisting pupils with classwork and educational activities
- Supporting children with additional needs, including SEN where appropriate
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Helping to maintain a structured and inclusive classroom environment
- Supporting pupils during transitions, break times, and school activities
- Adhering to safeguarding and child protection policies
- Communicating effectively with teaching and support staff
To be suitable for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one without delay
- Have previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
- Be patient, reliable, and enthusiastic about working in education
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to follow guidance and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Show flexibility and a willingness to support where needed
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- A full-time teaching assistant role with an immediate start
