Teaching Assistant – SEN Secondary (Watford)

£95 per day (More dependent on relevant experience) | Full-Time | Immediate Start

We are recruiting for a structured, well-established all-boys secondary SEN provision in Watford supporting students aged 11–16 with EHCPs, primarily high-functioning ASD and associated social, emotional and communication needs.

This is not a soft support role. The school needs confident, consistent adults who can provide structure, routine and calm authority.

Students are generally well behaved but require clear boundaries, predictable routines and strong role models. Many are working below mainstream curriculum levels, so engagement, resilience and life-skills development are key.

• 1:1 and small group support
• Behaviour and emotional regulation support
• Reinforcing routines and expectations
• Supporting adapted English, maths and vocational lessons
• Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff

• SEN experience (ASD, SEMH, behaviour)
• Youth work, sports coaching, mentoring or forces background welcomed
• Confident working with teenage boys
• Calm, resilient and reliable
• Able to command respect without confrontation

Pay: £95 per day and upwards depending on experience.
