Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Watford for a Head of Modern Foreign Languages. The Head of Modern Foreign Languages will be responsible for overseeing the language curriculum, ensuring high-quality lesson planning, and leading the development of French and additional language education programs. The role involves managing and supporting department staff, inspiring excellence in teaching, and fostering an engaging and inclusive environment for students to thrive in language learning.

Responsibilities include implementing effective teaching strategies, overseeing curriculum development, and contributing to the school's academic leadership.

Qualifications
  • Experience in Lesson Planning and the ability to effectively design and execute engaging and structured lessons.
  • Proficiency in French Teaching and experience delivering high-quality instruction in French and potentially other modern foreign languages.
  • Skills in Curriculum Development, including creating, updating, and tailoring curriculum to meet educational standards and diverse student needs.
  • Proven Educational Leadership and the ability to inspire, guide, and support teaching staff within the department.
  • Background in Education and a strong understanding of teaching methodologies and practices.
  • A recognized teaching qualification and experience in a leadership role within the education sector are highly desirable.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
