The SchoolA well-regarded, two-form entry Church of England primary school in the heart of Watford is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive and inclusive team. This is a full-time position, working across Key Stage 1, with daily hours from 8.30am to 3.15pm (including a midday supervision duty with a 30-minute unpaid break). There may be some flexibility with hours for the right candidate.
Responsibilities- Supporting children within the classroom environment
- Working with small groups of pupils
- Collaborating with teachers, the Inclusion Team, parents, and external agencies
- Assisting with whole-class learning
- Encouraging and developing children s independence
- Be nurturing, welcoming and inclusive in approach
- Have prior experience working in a primary school setting
- Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be confident supporting English and maths across the primary age range
- Be passionate about learning and child development
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Have high expectations for pupil behaviour and achievement
- A warm, supportive team environment
- Pupils who are enthusiastic and eager to learn
