St Margaret’s School is an independent, co‑educational day and boarding school in Hertfordshire, serving 800 pupils aged 2 to 18. The school spans over 60 acres of beautiful grounds and is situated just inside the M25, a 20‑minute train journey from London. Founded in 1749, the campus blends historic architecture with modern facilities, including a Grade 2 listed building designed by Alfred Waterhouse and picturesque woodland and orchard areas.

The Governing Board seeks a new Head who will provide strong strategic direction for this growing and dynamic school. The Head will be responsible for the educational experience and outcomes of all pupils, delivering inspirational leadership across all aspects of the school – pastoral and academic alike.

• Proven track record of successful leadership and management within the independent school sector
• Experience of ensuring academic excellence and strong pastoral care
• Strong commercial understanding and operational expertise
• Strategic planning and subsequent delivery
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a confident public speaker
