Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a residential development in Watford, comprising 6 flats and 2 houses. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual to take ownership of a small-to-medium sized scheme from site set-up through to completion and handover.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries
Maintain site health & safety in line with current regulations
Monitor programme, quality, and costs, reporting progress to the Project Manager/Director
Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and inspections
Manage snagging, inspections, and final handover
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential projects (flats and/or housing)
Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and quality control
SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certificates preferred
Good communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme pressure
Based within a reasonable commute to Watford or willing to travel
