To provide high-quality care and education to children aged insert age range , supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities
Provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS
Observe, assess, and record children s progress and development
Support children s personal, social, emotional, and physical development
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are followed at all times
Promote inclusion and equality, supporting children with additional needs
Maintain accurate records and contribute to learning journals
Support daily routines such as meals, hygiene, and rest times
Work effectively as part of a team and attend staff meetings and training
Requirements
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent)
Good understanding of the EYFS framework
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to childcare
Ability to engage children in fun and educational activities
Desirable
Paediatric First Aid certificate
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
Experience with SEN support
Safeguarding
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. The nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
