Role Description
This is a full-time, remote role for a Fire Door Inspector. The Fire Door Inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough fire door inspections and recording outcomes, ensuring compliance with safety standards and governance requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing follow-up reports to highlight issues and recommend resolutions, scanning and designing 2D floor plans to support emergency strategy, and ensuring that all findings are accurately documented with time-stamped results.
The role requires working with advanced digital tools and technologies as part of idigitalhub's mission to enhance fire safety and compliance in the built environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Fire Inspections, including evaluating the condition and performance of fire doors and ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards.
- Knowledge of Fire Prevention and Fire Protection practices to identify risks and implement effective safety measures.
- Experience with Life Safety standards and best practices to ensure the protection of property and people in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of Fire Safety techniques and policies to effectively identify and address issues in building environments.
- Familiarity with digital tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and fire compliance software is highly advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with teams.
- Certification or formal training in fire inspections, fire safety, or a related field is beneficial.
