DL Thurrott is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk to support our warehouse operation. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in warehouse and logistics work. The Warehouse Clerk will play a key role in ensuring that inventory is handled properly, orders are fulfilled accurately, and the warehouse remains organized.
Key Job Responsibilities Receiving and Shipping- Assist in receiving materials by checking items against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Help with unloading trucks and safely moving materials using a pallet jack.
- Support the shipping process by preparing and packing orders for customer shipments.
- Assist in pulling items from stock to fulfill customer orders, staging them for delivery or pickup.
- Verify the accuracy of items being packed or staged against sales orders.
- Help keep the warehouse organized and clean, ensuring materials are easy to locate.
- Assist in maintaining basic warehouse equipment, such as hand tools and pallet jacks.
- Assist with inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock records.
- Update inventory systems when receiving or moving materials (training provided).
- Work with the Warehouse Coordinator to prepare and organize materials for delivery.
- Assist in coordinating deliveries with the internal team.
- Occasionally assist customers picking up orders at the warehouse.
- Provide friendly, professional service during all customer interactions.
- No prior warehouse experience required; training will be provided.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills (will receive training on warehouse management systems).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols.
- Team player with good communication skills.
