The Accounts Payable Manager partners closely with finance leadership and operational departments to support strong financial stewardship, process improvement, and business performance across the organization.##

Job Description:

* What You’ll Do:

*** Provide direct oversight and leadership of accounts payable staff and processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, internal controls, and compliance with applicable regulations.
* Assist in developing departmental goals, standards, and performance objectives that align with Maine General Health’s strategic plan and long-term vision.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and financial control standards.
* Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring service quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational needs.
* Lead or support financial process improvement initiatives to strengthen efficiency, transparency, and reliability.
* Develop reporting tools and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making and financial performance management.
* Provide business analysis and financial support for special projects, operational initiatives, and leadership requests.
** What You’ll Bring:
*** Accounts payable leadership within a healthcare or complex organizational setting highly preferred.
* Strong understanding of compliance standards and vendor management.
* Demonstrated ability to manage staff, workflows, and financial processes while maintaining strong internal controls.
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
* Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives and special projects in partnership with operational leaders.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with finance leadership, operational departments, and external partners.
