As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Essential Functions- Behavioral Health Staff Nurses hold shift accountability to provide direct patient care by utilization of the nursing process in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff.
- Graduate from an accredited professional nurse program.
- Must possess a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Current BCLS/Pediatric First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.
- MAB (Managing Aggressive Behavior) within 30 days of hire.
- NIH Stroke within 30 days of hire.
- Valid Driver's License issued by the State.
- Critical Thinking:
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. - Active Listening:
Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate time. - Time Management:
