Are you looking to jumpstart your career in carpentry and gain hands‑on experience in the construction industry? Backroad Construction in Watertown SD is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Carpenter Apprentice/Helper. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced carpenters and learn the ins and outs of the trade.

• Help carpenters with duties such as measuring, cutting, and installing materials
• Assist with the set up and clean‑up of work sites
• Learn how to operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment
• Follow instructions from lead carpenters to complete tasks efficiently
• Help carpenters with duties to ensure projects are completed on time and to high quality standards

• No prior experience required, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are a must
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor as needed
• Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites
