Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MS/Tele Float Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in New York. The RN will provide high-quality patient care while floating across multiple units including Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatrics as needed. The ideal candidate must be adaptable, clinically strong, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments.

• Provide direct patient care following established nursing standards and hospital policies.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes.

• Float to various units including Medical-Surgical, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ED), and Pediatrics as required.

• Deliver specialized care for patients requiring cardiac and coronary monitoring.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Maintain accurate documentation using MEDITECH electronic medical records.

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery.

• Identify safety risks and implement proper patient handling techniques, including use of lifting equipment.

• Demonstrate strong leadership by prioritizing tasks, delegating responsibilities, and occasionally serving as Charge Nurse when required.

Requirements

• Active New York RN License (required).

• Minimum one successful travel assignment required (first-time travelers will not be considered).

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.

• Previous hospital RN experience preferred.

• Coronary Care experience required.

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
