- Shift: Night shift, 12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM);
Guaranteed 36 hours/week - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,060 – $2,170
- Openings: 4 ED RN positions available
- Unit: Emergency Department (ED) – Acute Care / Trauma-capable
- Active New York State RN license in good standing (required)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 1 year recent Emergency Department (ED) RN experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required (travel nurse preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS required or must obtain within 6 months
- Experience with MEDITECH electronic health record (EHR) required
- IV therapy, medication administration, and phlebotomy certification required (can be completed during orientation)
- Must pass lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and be defibrillation certified within 6 months
- Ability to work within a 60-mile radius rule
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Critical care experience, ED charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
- Prior experience in high-volume or trauma-capable Emergency Departments
- Provide safe, timely, and evidence-based emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients across all acuity levels
- Perform rapid assessments, triage support, and prioritize interventions in a fast-paced ED environment
- Recognize and intervene in life-threatening situations; initiate emergency measures and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) when needed
- Administer medications, establish and maintain IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy
- Document all patient care and clinical notes accurately in MEDITECH (EHR)
- Collaborate with ED providers, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care and optimize patient flow
- Maintain patient safety, safe patient handling, and proper use of lifts and equipment
- Demonstrate leadership, effective communication, and problem-solving in high-stress situations; assume charge nurse duties when required
