Location: Watertown, NY, 13601

Duration: 13-weeks Contract

Shift: 12-hr Days | 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Weekly Pay: $2,160 - $2,340; (Negotiable based on experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking, leadership, and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to progressive care patients.
Perform patient assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with established protocols.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective and safe patient care.
Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
Ensure patient safety through proper use of lifts and equipment.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
May serve in a charge nurse capacity as required.

Requirements:

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Active and Valid RN license (New York).
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
IV and IV contrast certification required.
PALS preferred.
Minimum of one successful travel assignment required.
Recent critical care experience strongly preferred.
Ability to assess clinical, educational, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to function well in high-stress environments.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Local pay rates will apply to candidates residing within 60 miles of Watertown, NY.
