Med/Surg Float RN - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekends, holidays, and call required.

Job Description

Seeking a qualified and experienced Med/Surg Float RN to provide high-quality patient care across multiple departments. The position requires floating to Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatrics. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills and the ability to function in a fast-paced and diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various departments.
• Assess and implement patient care plans based on individual needs.
• Recognize safety issues and utilize appropriate lifting techniques.
• Function effectively in stressful situations, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
• Assume charge nurse duties as required, prioritizing and delegating tasks.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in New York.
• Coronary Care experience required.
• Completion of at least one successful travel assignment.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Previous hospital RN experience preferred.
