This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Weekend, holiday, and on-call work required.

Job Description

The MS/Tele Float Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing quality patient care while floating to various units including Medical/Surgical, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ED), and Pediatrics as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess and address patients' clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.
• Ensure safety measures for self and patients, including proper use of lifts.
• Function effectively in high-stress situations, employing strong problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate leadership abilities, prioritizing and delegating tasks as necessary.
• May assume charge nurse duties when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York RN license.
• Coronary care experience is essential.
• At least one previous successful travel assignment required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Previous hospital RN experience preferred.
