Registered Nurse - Medical​/Surgical; Nursing

Position: Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical (Nursing)
MS RN 60-mile radius rule 36 or 48 hours 12hr Days - weekend, holiday and call required 7a-7p 13 weeks RN should be comfortable Floating to Med/Surg and PCU Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Traveler must hold CURRENT NY license. Coronary Care experience needed as well Traveler should have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment. First time travelers will NOT be considered.

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Previous hospital RN experience is preferred. BLS required or obtained within 3 months of hire. Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles. Ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient's needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual. Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to and move patients in a safe manner.

Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate. May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
