• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights

• Active New York State RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Travel experience required
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
• PALS required
• MEDITECH EMR experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Travel eligibility: Must meet the 100-mile radius rule (candidate’s primary residence must be at least 100 miles from the facility)
• Ability to recognize and intervene in life-threatening emergencies
• Strong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills; ability to perform well under pressure in a high-acuity setting

• Provide rapid assessment, triage, and evidence-based emergency nursing care to ED patients across a wide range of acuity
• Identify clinical deterioration and initiate appropriate emergency interventions
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform phlebotomy per department protocols
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently per facility standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate diagnostics, treatment, and disposition
• Maintain patient and staff safety, including safe patient handling and use of lifts as appropriate
• Support department flow and prioritize care in a high-volume, high-stress environment
• May assume charge nurse duties as needed; critical care and charge experience preferred
• Complete required competency milestones, including dysrhythmia/defibrillation and IV/medication competencies within designated time frames
