Assignment Details

Location:

Watertown, NY
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift: 3x12s Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Travel Requirement:
Prior travel experience required (100 MILE RADIUS RULE)

Licensure & Certifications
Current NYS RN License required
BLS & ACLS required
PALS required (may be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer)

Requirements
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
MEDITECH experience required
Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience required
Entry-level ED nurses may be considered without prior ED experience
Critical Care and charge nurse experience preferred

Role Responsibilities
Provide safe, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with varying acuity levels
Rapidly assess, identify, and intervene in life-threatening situations
Administer IV therapy, medications, and perform phlebotomy
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias
Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress environments
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate
May be required to function as a charge nurse
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to recognize safety risks and safely mobilize patients using proper lifting techniques

Required During Orientation/Probation
Successful completion of lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
Defibrillation certification within 6 months of employment
IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification during orientation
