Overview

Oakley Country Club – Sous Chef – Watertown, MA. This is a full-time Sous Chef position with evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events. You will work in a high-standard environment and be an essential part of our Food & Beverage program.

• Support and execute Club menus with consistency, creativity, and precision across all dining outlets and events
• Collaborate on seasonal menus and Member-driven enhancements; ensure timely service for à la carte dining and special functions
• Assist with food ordering, receiving, and inventory management; keep storage and prep areas organized
• Foster a positive team culture by mentoring, training, and onboarding staff
• Coordinate prep schedules, anticipate operational needs, and support Club events such as weddings and tournaments
• Enforce food safety and sanitation standards and maintain an inspection-ready kitchen

• 3+ years of progressive culinary experience in a private club, hotel, or upscale dining environment
• Creative culinary mindset balanced with consistency and discipline
• Strong knowledge of food ordering, inventory management, and organization
• Ability to lead, mentor, and train culinary teams
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events

Base Pay: $62,000-$75,000 (depending on experience)/year
