C4 Therapeutics is seeking a senior scientist to join the DNA Encoded Library (DEL) Technology team within the Lead Discovery group. The role focuses on implementing our bespoke DEL platform to identify MonoDAC (molecular glue) degraders. A background in DEL Selection design, data analysis and familiarity with targeted protein degradation will allow you to drive the technical and intellectual refinement and development of the MonoDAC DEL platform.
Responsibilities- Lead MonoDAC DEL laboratory efforts to advance drug discovery projects in a multidisciplinary, collaborative project team setting.
- Provide DEL selection strategy in partnership with the Director of DNA Encoded Library Platform, execute plans, interpret results, and recommend next steps.
- Design and execute DEL selections for identification of molecular glues to be developed into degraders.
- Contribute to intellectual development of next‑generation DEL technology for targeted protein degradation (TPD)/molecular glue identification.
- Take ownership of platform performance and data integrity, partnering closely with bioinformatics/computational chemistry on data analysis.
- Manage the operational and inventory needs of the DEL lab, including specific instrumentation and reagents.
- Manage CRO interactions as needed.
- A Ph.D. or equivalent in Biology or a related field with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the biotech/pharma setting; additional experience can compensate for required education.
- Deep knowledge in DNA Encoded Library Technology with strong expertise in developing and applying DEL selections for ternary complex binders across target classes.
- Thorough understanding of protein biochemistry and binding kinetics.
- Familiarity with targeted protein degradation as a therapeutic modality.
- Demonstrated success in providing high fidelity data to teams to drive downstream program decisions and operational vision to integrate the DEL platform into a broader Hit .
- Experience maintaining DEL specific instrumentation and inventory of all workflow reagents.
- Solid experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) library prep and sequencing run execution.
