Overview
Residential Counselor (Developmental Disabilities) a Residential Counselor, you will provide direct support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a small group residential setting or an individual living arrangement. You will work with the people we serve, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to transform their lives by building independence skills or increasing quality of life.
Responsibilities- Administer medications under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP) and implement treatment plans.
- Assist people with activities of daily living, such as household chores and cooking.
- Strengthen residents connection to their community by providing transportation for outings (shopping, doctor appointments).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or brain injury strongly preferred.
- Strong time management and writing skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid US driver s license for at least 6 months.
- CPR, First Aid certification within 2 weeks of employment and MAP certification within 150 days.
- Safety Care within 90 days.
- Must pass CORI, references, national fingerprinting and driving record check.
Pay: USD $20.75 per hour.
