Position Overview

Find your calling at Mercy! The Registered Nurse, utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice, will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult/geriatric patients. Candidate must report to facilities within the regional footprint of the home hospital where they are employed. Determination of facilities to be discussed upon hire into the position with approval by hiring leader/leadership team.

• Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 (no contract base pay; amount determined by experience)
• Shift Differentials: $2.75 for evenings, $4.60 for nights, $1.50 for weekends

Required

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.

Preferred Education:

• BSN

Licensure:

• RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure; maintain current license; meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Experience:

• One year of recent bedside RN experience in Med/Surg.
• Minimum two years of recent bedside RN experience for ED, ICU, etc.
• Preferred:
  Epic experience.

Certifications (Required at start):

• Med/Surg and Behavioral Health – BLS
• Women's Health – BLS & NRP
• Critical Care – BLS, ACLS
• Emergency Department – BLS, ACLS, & PALS

Physical Requirements:

• Stand/walk most of the time; significant bending, stooping, lifting and turning patients; push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs.
