Materials Specialist

Pay Rate: $23.00–$25.00/hour

Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract

Epitec is seeking a Materials Specialist for our client in Waterloo, IA
. In this role, you’ll plan and schedule manufacturing processes for production and service parts, support kanbans/triggers within the client’s production system, and help ensure on-time delivery to the build schedule. You’ll coordinate material changes, expedite parts, and partner closely with operations.

• Schedule production and service parts to meet daily/weekly build plans
• Expedite production and purchased components to resolve shortages
• Coordinate needed parts with internal departments and communicate engineering/material changes
• Assist with manpower planning and general administrative tasks
• Support inventory integrity and accuracy
  , including production and scrap reporting
• May develop line sequencing and provide work direction as needed

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field highly preferred
• Experience:
• Recent grads welcome;
  preference for 3–5 years post-graduation work history
• Traits: Organized, detail-oriented, strong communicator; comfortable splitting time between desk and shop floor
• May operate a company-owned utility vehicle on the shop floor after training
• Some local travel between Waterloo sites (personal vehicle)
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the near future
• Candidates must be willing to work off-shift hours if needed
