Job Details:

• Work every other weekend including holiday rotation

• 16 hours guaranteed per week

• No on-call responsibilities

• Patient ratio of 1:6

• Must complete Basic Dysrhythmia Assessment with passing score of 80% during onboarding

• Required to confidently read EKG/ECG including all telemetry related duties and responsibilities

• Work with drips including heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, and digoxin

• May float to behavioral health, emergency department, ICU, and some post-procedural areas

• Use EPIC electronic medical record system

• 24 months of experience in Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele required

• First time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of nursing experience

• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS, Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license

• Highly preferred certifications:
De-Escalation Certificate (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI) and NIH Stroke Scale certificate

• Must maintain current work history and skills checklist specific to Med Surg/Telemetry

• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within 24 months preferred
