Right at Home is seeking dependable, compassionate Part‑time Home Health Aide to provide companion and personal care to clients in Cedar Falls and surrounding areas. Companion care includes light housekeeping, laundry assistance, transportation, medication reminders, meal preparation, and participation in activities the client enjoys. Clients may also need assisted walking, transfers, and exercises. Personal care includes help with bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
No level of experience or training is required as we provide a training and mentoring program.
- Provide light housekeeping, do laundry, and make meals.
- Transport clients to appointments or the store.
- Assist with personal cares like transfers, toileting, showers, and hygiene.
- Remind clients of medication and life‑management tasks.
- Provide companionship with engaging activities and ensure client safety.
- Report changes in condition or concerns about the client’s well‑being.
- Perform delegated nursing tasks such as catheter care and medication administration under RN training.
- Follow agency policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Own vehicle with proof of adequate car insurance; able to travel within a 45‑minute radius of Waterloo/Cedar Falls.
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Previous experience as a professional caregiver.
- Pass background check.
- Reliable and dependable.
- Desire to care for older adults, keeping them safe and independent in their homes.
- Reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Experience with Hoyer lifts is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
