Overview

We are seeking an Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our team to provide excellent mobile hearing care to patients in your community skilled nursing facilities!

Job Type: Part-time, Contract

Responsibilities
  • Provide hearing care to long-term residents in skilled nursing facilities including conducting otoscopic exams, diagnosing and treating hearing loss using mobile audiology equipment, dispensing, programming, maintaining and repairing hearing aids, cerumen removal, and recommending appropriate patient follow-up and care options.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions.
  • Attend clinics solo; responsible for all electronic progress note documentation and emailing completed notes to facilities.

Requirements
  • 1099 Contract position providing hearing care to long-term residents in skilled nursing facilities – not assisted living.
  • Medical-based hearing care including wax removal, tympanometry, hearing tests, and hearing aid dispensing.
  • Attend clinics solo; responsible for all charting and sending notes to facilities.
  • 1-2 homes/day, depending on number of residents signed up for our policy.
  • Clinic starts at 9 am; goal is to see approximately 15 patients per facility.
  • Drive at least a 2-hour drive per clinic day (maximum 2.5 hours).
  • Anything over 3 hours from home is optional;
    Aria will cover accommodations for overnight stay and meals if chosen.
  • Compensation is a daily rate based on experience, plus mileage.
  • Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
