Are you ready to make a difference? In this dynamic role, you'll supervise and support daily operations in our general surgery unit, ensuring that every patient receives safe and efficient care. Your leadership will be key in coordinating patient placements, staff assignments, and clinical activities, all while fostering communication among medical teams and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate patient placement and staff assignments to optimize care delivery.
- Assist clinical staff and supervise clinical activities.
- Facilitate effective communication among staff, medical teams, and families.
- Support educational training and orientation for new team members.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Respond to changes in patient conditions and oversee inventory and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting and resource utilization.
- Perform staff nurse duties as needed and contribute to committee work.
Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Supervisor, Med Surg General Surgery 3W
Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128
Schedule: Full-Time | 36 hours/week
Shift: Night Shift
Qualifications:Education:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Licensure:
- Must obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
- Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Certification:
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisor experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
