STS Technical Services is hiring experienced A&P Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics in Waterford, Michigan. In this role, you'll work directly on business-class, transport-category aircraft and ensure they meet the highest standards of airworthiness and safety. Position Summary:
As an A&P Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a hands-on role in the day-to-day maintenance operations for a premier aviation services provider. You'll be part of a dynamic team that values precision, safety, and technical excellence. We're looking for detail-oriented professionals ready to make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbine-powered aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards
- Inspect, troubleshoot, test, and repair aircraft airframes and engines
- Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and blueprints to diagnose and repair discrepancies
- Use precision instruments to assess wear and execute component replacements as needed
- Document all work performed using approved maintenance records and procedures
- Collaborate with OEMs, pilots, inspectors, and fellow technicians to maintain aircraft compliance
- Support flexible work shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant License (required)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent A&P experience; turbine-powered aircraft strongly preferred
- Experience working in an FAA-certified Part 145 repair station (required)
- Familiarity with Part 135 operations (preferred)
- Inspection Authorization (IA) and/or FCC License are a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to work independently while ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused attitude and a commitment to service excellence
