TVI - Waterford, Michigan

This temporary, on-site role offers a unique opportunity to provide specialized educational services to visually impaired students in a K-12 setting in Waterford, MI. As a Visual Impairment Teacher Consultant, you will play a critical role in delivering direct instruction and evaluations while collaborating closely with students, families, and special education teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and conduct comprehensive evaluations tailored to students with visual impairments
• Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide consultative services and assistive technology recommendations to enhance learning outcomes
• Facilitate professional development opportunities for educators and staff members
• Collaborate with Special Education teams to ensure compliance and best practices

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Special Education or Education
• A minimum of 3 years teaching experience, including at least 2 years in Special Education
• Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Visual Impairment endorsement (SK)
• MDE approval as a Teacher Consultant in Deaf & Hard of Hearing services preferred
