Primary Responsibilities- Assist clients with activities of daily living including:
- bathing in bed, tub, or shower
- care of hair including shampoo, combing, and brushing
- care of teeth and mouth including denture care
- nail care, filing only
- skin care including pericare and applying lotion
- transfer of patient from bed to chair and to wheelchair
- transfer of patients on and off bedpan, commode, and toilet
- assist client in preparing for bed
- position patient in bed as directed
- assist with ambulation including cane, walker, and crutches
- personal care dressing of client
- medication reminder
- Live‑in and sleep‑over services:
- secure client’s home for the night and provide reassurance by being present during nighttime hours (Washington and Oregon do not provide this service)
- Utilize the Electronic Visit Verification (E.V.V.) program as applicable.
- Assist with household tasks directly essential to client’s personal care.
- Accompany client to medical appointments or shopping and perform other essential errands.
- Measure and record vital signs, including oral, rectal, and auxiliary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, when ordered within training limitations.
- Prepare meals based on client’s preferred diet and, if required, feed client.
- Provide a clean and safe environment within the home, including safe use of equipment such as side rails, oxygen, wheelchairs, and Hoyer lifts.
- Current driver’s license with vehicle insurance, or access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified patients’ needs.
- Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
- 6+ months of experience in home care.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to multi‑task, be self‑directed, and have good time‑management skills.
- Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution (subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role ranges from $10.00 to $24.23 per hour for full‑time employment.
