Position: Job Developer

CSI is in need of a Job Developer to join our Chase Center program located in Waterbury, CT. The program is an adult residential facility that administers assessments, monitors clients' compliance with service plan goals, and involves clients in services that address their criminogenic tendencies. Though case management, supervision, and provision of evidence‑based groups, clients gain the tools and support necessary for successful community re‑entry.

The Job Developer is responsible for providing guidance, counseling, support and other employment related services to program participants. They will be responsible for working to establish relationships with employers and businesses, promoting the services provided by CTWorks and providing follow‑up services to participants with a focus effort toward employment.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm.

Hourly Rate: $22.10 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Identify employment opportunities and assist program participants with job search.
  • Lead job clubs and presentation workshops.
  • Create and build new relationships with businesses promoting the services available through CTWorks.
  • Provide follow‑up services to participants that have received intensive or training services, maintaining regular contact.
  • Represent Community Solutions, Inc. at events such as chamber activities, job fairs, business expositions, and develop and coordinate such events.
  • Coordinate job fairs, recruitments, and on/off‑site visits with employers to establish relationships, identify and develop job opportunities for participants, and document employer contacts in the CSSD data collection system on the same business day contact occurs.
  • Participate in meetings with supervisors and job developers in the Business Services Unit assigned to CTWorks.
  • Maintain client files and comply with Agency policy on confidential information.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and abide by the Agency’s programs, policies, procedures, and code of ethics.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in a social science field or substantial experience working with clients for job readiness, developing community resources, initiating and maintaining contacts within the employment community, or other job development activities.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of job development and employment resources a plus.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and a car.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
