Position Summary
Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. The role supports and oversees repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, and power tools to complete jobs.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart's Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights.
- 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
- Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
- Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational or technical Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) certification and either 2 years of mechanical maintenance or construction‑related experience in commercial HVAC/R and building controls, or 4 years of such experience.
- Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
- Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
