A. Welcome is a Connecticut-based law firm with multiple office locations across the state. We focus on immigration law and personal injury, representing individuals and families with care, professionalism, and strong advocacy. Our immigration practice includes asylum, removal defense, juvenile petitions, family-based petitions, citizenship, DACA, and VAWA matters.
- Handle removal defense cases before the Immigration Court
- Prepare and litigate political asylum and juvenile petitions
- Manage family-based immigration and marriage petitions
- Draft legal briefs and appellate filings
- Appear before federal immigration courts and, when applicable, Connecticut state courts
- Maintain regular, compassionate communication with clients
- Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
The Associate Immigration Attorney will have the opportunity to expand their practice through training and exposure to:
- Personal injury claims
- Workers’ compensation matters
- Criminal defense in Connecticut state courts
- Residential real estate transactions
- Juris Doctor required
- Admission to practice law in the State of Connecticut is required
- Minimum of two years of immigration law experience preferred
- Experience appearing before federal immigration courts
- Spanish fluency is highly preferred but not required
- Strong legal writing and advocacy skills
- Excellent client service and communication abilities
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 25 percent
