** Position Purpose*
* Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Health Information Management Analyst performs quantitative and qualitative analysis of  physician documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

** What you will do*
* + Participate in clinical data collection reviews to capture the facilities' compliance in documentation quality and completeness

+ Complete quality control and indexing processes to ensure that all documentation is viewable in the EHR for continuity of patient care

+ Ensure every page is accounted for in the correct patient's chart

+ Identify and correct error(s) identified during the quality control review process and escalate issues to the HIM Technical Lead

+ Rescan and upload any missing documents according to department procedures

** Minimum Qualifications*
* + High School Graduate or equivalent

+ Associates Degree in Health Information Management or presently enrolled in a Health Information Technology program or similar degree preferred

+ Two or more years analytical and/or clerical experience in an acute care setting required

+ Previous health-related experience working in an EHR preferred, EPIC or OnBase preferred

+ Knowledge of medical terminology required

+ Knowledge of and understanding of the requirements for complete medical records, per hospital, medical staff, Joint Commission, CMS, and other federal and state guidelines required

+ Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy regulations required to complete appropriate release of patient health information
