Overview
The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking a Program Manager for our PILOTS Community Outreach program located at our Waterbury, CT office. The Program Manager is responsible for training and supervising all full-time outreach staff. The PILOTS Program Manager provides support, training, and supervision to outreach staff who assist individuals with co-occurring disorders of mental illness and chemical addiction in their efforts to live independently in the community.
The Program Manager works within the program’s model, establishing open communication, support, and accountability among co-workers and staff. They will be required to adjust schedules based on program and client needs.
- Planning and implementing Housing Options for Long-term Success (PILOTS) team
- Train and supervise outreach staff to ensure appropriate service delivery through the field
- Assist outreach staff with time management: manage logistics of client coverage and assist when necessary
- Participate in on-call system to ensure service delivery minimum coverage standard for timely and effective service delivery
- With this program, the PILOTS staff will use a counseling approach that uses both motivational interviewing and harm-reduction
- Provide assistance to staff in securing housing, move-in, relocations, interventions in eviction processes, rent arrears, and housing stability
- Provide crisis intervention
- BA/BS Degree in a mental health related field preferred
- HS Diploma or GED required
- One year supervisory experience required
- Extensive experience in human services strongly preferred
