The role of a Pharmacy Technician at Stop and Shop Supermarket involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the overall pharmacy services provided.

Here are some of the key duties and requirements for this position:

Processing, packing, or shipping pharmacy orders:
This includes medication preparation and inventory management.
Performing typical retail pharmacy duties:
This includes medication preparation, inventory management, and assisting with training and providing technical advice to other technicians and clerks.
Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations:
Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations is a critical aspect of the job.
Stocking pharmacy shelves and refrigerators:
Keeping the pharmacy well-stocked and organized is essential for customer service.
Retrieving original prescriptions from pharmacy files:
Accurate and timely retrieval of prescriptions is necessary for proper dispensing.
Safely packaging and labeling products:
Ensuring the safe handling and labeling of products is a responsibility of the Pharmacy Technician.

The job also requires the ability to work in a busy retail environment, including weekends and evenings, and to meet physical demands such as standing for long periods of time. The position is part-time, with expected hours ranging from 15 to 30 per week.
