Senior Manager of Engineering

Location: New Britain, Connecticut

Lead and manage all engineering and maintenance operations at a manufacturing facility. Ensure equipment reliability, plant efficiency, safety, and smooth daily operations. Oversee teams, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Manage engineering and maintenance teams, providing guidance and support.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Plan and execute capital and expense projects within budget and timeline.
• Collaborate on equipment upgrades, process improvements, and facility changes.
• Track maintenance KPIs and implement improvements to optimize plant performance.
• Source and manage vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate maintenance and engineering records.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years in engineering/maintenance in a manufacturing environment, with 1+ year of management experience.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, capital projects, and budget management.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with plant equipment, utilities, and continuous improvement tools.
