JOB SUMMARYThe Maintenance Instrumentation Technician is responsible for testing, installation, calibration (pressure temperature, flow and level control) repair, and inspection of manufacturing equipment and monitoring devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Troubleshoot and perform general maintenance on various instrumentation (electrical and mechanical).
- Design and installation of new measuring equipment.
- Perform general facility maintenance functions such as troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
- Review conduit drawings, schematics, and electrical drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
- Operate trade specific equipment and tools such as hydraulic benders, knockout punch sets, cable pullers, volt meters, and testers.
- Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot, and repair I&E malfunctions using various test instruments.
- Test I&E equipment for safety and efficiency.
- Plan the layout and wiring of new or modified installations.
- Estimate cost, time, and materials for projects.
- Maintain accurate inventory of I&E parts, equipment, and related manuals.
- Prepare reports and conduct safety audits as required.
- Maintain a strong mathematical and computer skill set as well as an in depth knowledge of I&E systems.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
- Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Must have at leave five (5) years of work experience in an instrumentation and/or mechanical maintenance role.
- At least five (5) years of experience working in the Industrial or Oil and Gas field required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Driver License required.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification required.
- In-depth knowledge of PLC systems preferred.
- Journeyman Electrician card preferred.
