Verovian Nursing Recruitment Agency is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Wasilla, Alaska.
As a PICU RN, you will provide critical care to infants, children, and adolescents with life-threatening conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care and support to both patients and their families during challenging times.

- Provide advanced nursing care to pediatric patients with severe and complex medical conditions, including respiratory failure, sepsis, trauma, and post-operative care following major surgeries.
- Administer medications, blood products, and advanced therapies as prescribed, following strict protocols and ensuring patient safety.
- Work closely with pediatric intensivists, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Act quickly and efficiently in emergencies, using advanced life support skills to stabilize critically ill patients.
- Operate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment such as ventilators, ECMO machines, and infusion pumps, ensuring their proper use and maintenance.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain the highest standard of care in the PICU.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric or intensive care setting is required; PICU experience is preferred.
- BLS and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications are required; CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certifications are preferred.
