Job specification

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to post-surgical patients in the PACU unit.
• Monitor vital signs, pain levels, consciousness, and overall recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxygen therapy as necessary.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and potential complications.
• Respond rapidly to emergency situations, including adverse reactions to anesthesia or post-operative complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and nursing interventions.

Candidate requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program - Required.
• Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) License - Required upon hire.
• National Provider BLS (American Heart Association) - Required upon hire.
• National Provider ACLS (American Heart Association) - Required upon hire.
• National Provider PALS (American Heart Association) - Required within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience - Required.
