A full-time school psychologist position is available in Wasilla, AK, providing critical support in an educational setting. This role is ideal for a licensed professional with Alaska certification who is experienced in delivering comprehensive psychological services within schools. The position requires an onsite commitment, working 37.5 hours per week, primarily serving an elementary school caseload with an approximate ratio of 1 psychologist to 600 students.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to support student learning and well-being.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and guidance to students exhibiting social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to promote positive educational outcomes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional insights.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with educational and legal standards.
- Valid Alaska certification and licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Proven experience working within school environments, preferably with elementary-aged students.
- Strong skills in psychological assessment, data interpretation, and intervention planning.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 600 students effectively.
Schedule:
- Position based in Wasilla, AK.
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day).
