TheOpportunity
Portland Tractor Inc. is looking for an experienced Shop Technician to join our team in Washougal, Washington
. As the Shop Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and rebuilding heavy equipment components with hand and power tools, rigging equipment, and lifting gear.
- Perform mechanical rebuild, reseal, and inspection of heavy duty off-road equipment
- Follow safety rules and regulations, as well as established warranty processes
- Use rigging equipment and lifting gear to safely transport and remove components
- Track parts and complete work order forms
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Communicate with management on assignments and repair needs
- At least 5 years of prior work experience in heavy equipment repair and rebuild
- Experience repairing Caterpillar equipment is a strong asset
- Diesel Technology certification is a strong asset
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow factory processes for repairing and dismantling equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical concepts
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license

The base pay range for this role is: $30 to $40 per hour, depending on experience.
This is an onsite role based in Washougal, Washington.
