Truck Shop Manager

Blue Star Growers is hiring a hands-on Truck Shop Manager to lead our state‑of‑the‑art truck shop in Cashmere, Washington. This is a working manager position ideal for an experienced diesel and/or farm equipment professional who enjoys leading a team while staying actively involved in repairs and fleet and farm equipment maintenance.

The Truck Shop Manager oversees all Blue Star fleet maintenance and grower equipment repairs. This includes Class 8 trucks and trailers, forklifts, automotive vehicles, and a wide range of agricultural equipment (tractors, sprayers, mowers, augers, transport buses, pickups, and more).

This is a working leadership role — you will supervise mechanics while actively performing diagnostics, repairs, and fabrication work.

• Manage and prioritize fleet maintenance and repair schedules
• Ensure DOT compliance for Class 8 trucks and trailers
• Ensure OSHA compliance for forklifts and shop operations
• Supervise, mentor, and delegate work to shop mechanics
• Maintain inventory of key parts (especially sprayer components during peak season)
• Perform advanced mechanical diagnostics and repairs
• Welding and fabrication (oxygen acetylene and wire feed)
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs
• Maintain accurate maintenance records
• Build strong working relationships with growers, vendors, and team members

• 5+ years experience with Class 8 trucks or 3+ years experience with agricultural equipment (gas & diesel)
• 2+ years supervisory/management experience
• Brake Certification
• A/C Certification
• Knowledge of air, brake, hydraulic, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
• Valid Washington State driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must supply own hand tools

• Class A CDL
• Forklift experience (propane & electric)
