POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Kitchen Helper substitute is an on-call as needed basis position and assists in food preparation, serving of students and staff, and will assist in the general clean up of the food service areas.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess High School Diploma or GED

Possess a Food Handlers Permit

Experience in food services and serving large groups preferred

Be in good physical condition (with no history of back problems, etc.)

Ability to operate dishwasher

Be able to lift 30 lbs on a regular basis

Demonstrated ability to work well with children

Demonstrated ability to work with students and staff in a team environment

Communicate with an open and pleasant manner

Be firm and consistent when managing students

Be flexible and handle change in routine calmly

Be punctual and meet deadlines

Work with minimal supervision

Other duties as assigned

Supervisor of Food Services
