Business Development Manager – inc handling £1million plus of house accounts

One of the UK’s leading providers of print and direct mail services is searching for a Business Development Manager to work collaboratively with customers, providing strategic advice, support and expertise as a trusted advisor to achieve positive campaign outcomes.

We are looking for a candidate from the direct mail sector with experience in bespoke solutions, compliant data usage, and personalised communications to drive customer engagement. The role requires advising customers on optimal data segmentation, ensuring campaigns reach the right people at the right time. Leveraging our client’s advanced technology, you will maximise response rates and ROI for campaigns of all scales and complexities.

A key component of the role is existing account management; however, strong sales acumen is essential to generate new business using existing customer networks. Your success will depend on the ability to use sales experience to suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify growth opportunities.

We seek a proactive professional with a passion for the industry, an innovative mindset, an ability to think outside the box, and a commitment to staying ahead of emerging trends.

  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Provide tailored advice on data segmentation, targeting and campaign design.
  • Deliver actionable insights to improve sales performance and ROI.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within client networks.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • Qualifications

    • Experience in the direct mail sector, preferably with bespoke, personalised solutions.
    • Knowledge of compliant data handling and segmentation best practices.
    • Strong sales background, with a proven track record of generating new business.
    • Excellent communication and advisory skills.
    • Fluency in English and willingness to work within the UK.
