Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Lead the F&B division and partner with executive team to view operation from a high level.
  • Maintain responsibility for day‑to‑day kitchen operation.
  • Develop and implement procedures ensuring work practices meet or exceed standards.
  • Communicate daily with General Manager and Director of Food & Beverage on updates, changes, and revisions.
  • Maintain standards for food quality, presentation, handling, sanitation, and safety.
  • Ensure timely and courteous follow‑through on all client, guest, and team member requests.
  • Supervise, train, develop, schedule, evaluate, discipline, and counsel staff.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership empowering employees to exceed standards.
  • Monitor food and labor costs to stay within budget.
  • Conduct daily walk‑throughs of refrigerators, storage areas, and food lines for rotation, usage, cleanliness, and sanitation.
  • Use specification sheets to prepare daily requirements and maintain par levels.
  • Create and manage new menu items.
  • Ensure attractive, consistent presentation of buffet and plated foods.
  • Supervise line cooks to monitor quality and consistency.
  • Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Setup, restock, maintain, and clean food preparation areas.
  • Ensure presentation standards for all hot and cold items.
  • Read, interpret, and cost out all recipes.
  • Conduct product inventories, ordering, and receiving of product.
  • Maintain team grooming standards.
  • Maintain team adherence to standards for sanitation and safe food handling.
  • Oversee all opening and closing kitchen procedures.
Qualifications
  • Culinary arts degree and/or equivalent training with 7+ years in industry and 2+ years in a culinary management role in a similar environment.
  • Experience in a luxury resort setting strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a remote environment strongly preferred.
  • Excellent business communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage according to employment and industry‑relevant laws.
  • Conflict management and negotiation skills required.
  • Flexible and able to perform multiple tasks, work in stressful situations with shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other computer programs.
  • Excellent people skills, professional, friendly, enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Detail‑oriented, reliable, punctual, and exceptional organizational skills.
  • State Food Handler’s License(s) necessary.
